Production Facility Release, Frederick, Colorado
This project was in response to a historic release below oil and gas production lines, the release date unknown.
Project Value: $1.4M
This project was in response to a historic release below oil and gas production lines, the release date unknown. The former facility was located within a densely populated neighborhood within the Colorado Front Range. As a result, the customer selected Tasman’s patented excavation and ex-situ chemical oxidation treatment to address residual hydrocarbon impacts within the sub-surface to eliminate heavy traffic of hauling trucks, expedite assessment and remediation, and prioritize reclamation and environmental stewardship within the community.
Organic compound concentrations in soil were several orders of magnitude above the applicable regulatory limit. Excavation of impacted soils was conducted to a total vertical depth of 19 feet below ground surface. A total of 59,200 cubic yards of material were excavated, handled, and chemically treated below applicable regulatory standards. The entire area of disturbance was reclaimed for future City development into a neighborhood park.
