Tasman was retained for the build and installation of an Underground Storage Tank system for a fuel station in Aurora Colorado. Prior to tank placement, the area was excavated for all electrical and production lines, along with the tank stabilization through the use of 5’x5’x5’ concrete footers at the base of the 16’ x 40’ excavation. Following the completion of the earthwork, a 22,000 gal, dual chamber petroleum tank was installed, using rock slinger techniques to ensure the proper distribution of pea gravel surrounding the tank. Backfilling operations were followed by the installation of 30 steel bollards, providing additional protective measures surrounding all above ground system lines. Subcontractors were used for all crane and concrete work for this project.
